Our Story
We are a band scattered across the world — living in different cities, different climates, different languages — yet drawn each year to the same small place where our story begins.
Once a year, we return to a town in the south of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a place shaped by stone, river, and ancient silence. A place where the hills stand like guardians, and a clear, fast river carries centuries of memory. A place where old carved monuments watch over the land with a quiet that feels almost sacred.
At the heart of that town stands a house. A house that held generations before us, a house whose wooden floors remember footsteps long after the people have gone. When we open its door, the air feels familiar — as if the house recognizes us.
This is where our music begins. Not in studios or cities, but in a home that breathes with history, in a landscape where nature speaks in its own rhythms.
Our sound grows from the earth: blues that rises from the bones, folk rooted in the soil, electronic echoes shaped by the distances we live in.
We do not create music to escape. We create to return — to gather what has been scattered, to give voice to a place that shaped us, to let light grow again where it once began.
We are Bašta puna svjetlosti. We carry a home across continents, and each song is a way back to it. We play so that the light finds its way home. Azo Taj-Chi, Oka Brur-Li, Nešo Pa-Nini and many other contributors spread all accross the world.

About Us
The Band
Bašta puna svjetlosti (Garden Full of Light) is a unique musical collective that transcends geographical boundaries. Our members are scattered across continents, yet united by a shared heritage and musical vision.
Each year, we reunite in a small town in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, where our home serves as both inspiration and recording space. This place, with its stone architecture, flowing river, and ancient carved monuments, is not just our meeting point — it's the soul of our music.
Our Sound
Our music is a tapestry woven from three distinct threads:
- 🎸 Blues — Rising from the bones, grounded in emotion
- 🎻 Folk — Rooted in the soil of our homeland
- 🎹 Electronic — Echoes shaped by the distances between us
This fusion creates a sound that is both ancient and modern, local and global, intimate and expansive.
Our Mission
We create music not to escape, but to return. Each composition is a journey back to our roots, a gathering of what has been scattered across the world. Through our art, we give voice to a place that shaped us and let light grow where it once began.
Evolution – BPS GP
However, BPS couldn't remain only a BAND. BPS evolved. BPS embraced collaboration, experimentation, and creativity — and became BPS GP.
Now, without a doubt, we can say that we are no longer just a BAND — we have become a space. A space that expands and contracts, shifts its shape, and changes its pulse. Within us, there are no borders, no walls, no closed circles. Sound is not our creation; it is our guide. We do not shape it — we listen to it.
Everything that enters alters our rhythm.
Everything that leaves echoes as a mark in our sound.
Our lineup is no longer fixed because the idea is no longer confined. Every musician who steps into our circle adds a new voice to the pulse that drives us. And as long as that pulse continues, BPS GP will remain what it was always meant to be — a space in motion, a sound in evolution, a story still being written, shaped by every voice brave enough to join the pulse.
